Hi welcome to the Forum. You do realise you need to use a UK postcode (this is only used to set your local regional channels), not a French one. Any will do if you want London local news then Buck Palace will add a certain exclusivity

You have to use a full postcode not just the first characters.

    Try M2 4JA

The box doesn't differentiate between 28.2E and 28.5E, in effect the several satellites are considered as just one. The transponder is unique at 28.2/28.5 so if you get it, it must be the correct one.

Barry tells me his box works with postcode PL1

I based my reply on this

    http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/freesat_and_full_post_codes

Can you use menu/system/diagnostics to check what software version you have installed ?

    Menu-System-Diagnostics

What signal strength and quality do you have for both tuners ?

Check round the back are the two cables on the outer connections with nothing connected to the middle one ?

Menu-system-diagnostics... When I try & freesat tune & look both tuners are showing 0. If I manual tune & then check I have 70 & 100 on both?

The cables at the back.... yes both outer connected. The middle one is linked to one of the outer cables? But even if I disconnect it makes no difference...

    Thanks again...

Sounds like you have only 1 cable not two. As you look from the front of the box the cable from the dish should connect to the right hand socket (nearest the edge of the box) leaving the short cable to connect the other two. At a guess you have it reversed.
