I've just bought a Graded FVP-4000T. First impressions are that it is a backward step from the HDR-Fox T2, but the lure of "record four watch a fifth" was too strong to resist. Hopefully I'll learn to live with it.
Does anyone know what IP EPG is? In the manual page 24 it says it can be switched on in PVR Settings and gives an enhanced epg, but it doesn't appear in the menu. I'm on the latest firmware 1.01.34,

Yes you are on the latest, this is a copy from the Humax website for the Humax 4000T freeview play recorder.

I think, not certain, that the 4000T was picked up from a product designed for the Australian market, the 3000T over there. It could be the user guide was not transcribed properly to fit the UK s/w.

I don't think the "enhanced" EPG feature has ever been active on the UK version.

Pollensa is on the right track. Both the supplied manual and the online version have German illustrations in the guide section and the information provided is not correct for the UK model. Humax have never produced a really good manual for any of the boxes I have used (HD, HDR and HB1000s).

David.All the freetime units manuals are freesat's work.
The Foxsat-HDR was Humax's work and if you followed connection diagram you point your dish at 19.2E.

I do find it ludicrous that all Humax STB products, since and including the HDR1000S, seem to be rushed out half-baked in time for the Xmas sales, sold at premium prices, and then debugged by the users. They can sustain this business model only as long as the current no competition persists.

DavidI believe this may well be the 4Tune 'Home entertainment Server' unit first launched in Oz and called the 4Tune+ in Germany.
Looks like it may have been 'modified' for the UK market.
