None of the Humax apps in the app store work with the FVP-4000T ("Your mobile device and HUMAX product should be connected to the same network"). Is there a dedicated, yet-to-be-released app in the offing?

Ah, good to know. Possibly this is because the box is wired ethernet, but the phone is wifi...

Should not make any difference, my unit connected via powerline and phone/tablets wifi.
Can sometimes be temperamental in connecting via android for some reason ios appears to be OK, especially the remote app.

Is your wifi/powerline on the same IP subnet, do you know? Mine are different, I suspect the phone is doing a subnet broadcast to do the discovery, which isn't getting routed from the WAN to the LAN.

It is a logical restriction.

In order to register with myhumax.net (to use these apps) you need a registration code - does anyone where I find it on the Humax FVP-4000T?

Newbie here and just got my box today - will take a while to get used to it - does anyone know if there will be an app whereby you can record items on the go?
