My old Humax has failed and I’ve bought a 5000T.
There was a screensaver on the old one, but the 5000T doesn’t seem to have one.
Is there one that can be turned on?
At the moment, I’m turning the TV off to save the screen.

It's a Samsung TV
With the old Humax, if one paused either a recording or live TV, after a few minutes a screen saver appeared on the TV, showing the current time, which would keep repositioning itself on the otherwise black screen| Sun 19 Aug 2018 15:38:29 #3 | -

Oh that’s brilliant.
I had assumed that the screensaver was necessary because it was on the old one.
Thanks so much for your help.| Mon 20 Aug 2018 7:09:48 #7 | -

Thanks so much for your help.Screensavers were really needed for Plasma TV's which like CRT's suffer from screen burn. LCD's can get image retention issues, but unlike screen burn it's not permanent.
