Linking freeview to freesat.

Hello All.
Just wondering if it might be possible to link my already owned 500gb Humax freeview+ HD to a basic freesat+ HD box having both running together and using the original freeview box as a freesat recorder ,obviously one is ariel and the other would be connected to an already available satellite connection.
Can they communicate this way ?

Welcome to the Forum

Not possible I am afraid, your freeview recorder can only record from the internal tuners.

Thanks for that lightning fast response.
Guess its a matter of possibly forking out a little extra then.
Oh well time to rethink the pros and cons.
