I have a Humax HDR 7500T and have downloaded the Live TV app. When I try to connect to the Humax I get the following message:
"Your mobile device and HUMAX product should be connected to the same network. Check the network settings."

I have tried this app with Apple and Android products and get the same answer. The Humax recognises the wifi and is working. They are definitely on the same network. Dies anybody else have this problem?

What IP address and subnet mask do both devices have?
Does the mobile device use a proxy?

I am not sure and not sure how to find out. Need a dummies book. Could you give me details of how to find them?
I did notice in the settings that the humax has picked up an Mac address. Could this be the problem?

I don't have a HDR 7500T but would expected to find this under settings possible in a network section.
All network controllers have a Physical MAC address which is fixed (normally). The MAC address is used within your LAN to send data.

You don't mention how your phone is connected. Are you sure your mobile device and app is using your WiFI connection?

The mobile and ipad are definitely using the wifi connection.

Is the HDR 7500T compatible with live TV?
