Yeah but before this last factory reset, channels disappeared when recording only one.
I think I'll get a new LNB, and see what happens. Wifey is nagging me about the subtitles.
Why - your box appears to be working 100%.
can you tune to 101 102 and 103 and post the transponder details using opt+ ?
Changing the lnb will not make any difference if the broadcaster isn't transmitting subtitles.

Subtitles visible on 101 and 102. Not on 103. BUT if I look at the same channel on Freeview, the subs are certainly there.
I would add that today is the second Factory reset I have done. After the first one, as with the second, it did appear I could record two channels again, but later that day, only one.
Tune to 101 - Press Menu - System Diagnostics to display the signal strength and quality.
repeat for 102 and 103.
101 is low band horizontal, 102 is low band vertical. 103 is low band vertical.
I will check if subtitles are on 103 for you
Post signal strength and quality for the 3 channels, and software version. Once you have posted this info I will post a recording check procedure.

Your dish needs aligning it must be slightly out. Should easily get 100/100 on those transponders. They are UK spot beam and very strong in the UK. Roughly where are you located ?
Is the dish accessible ? If so I will post how to check the alignment. You will need someone to report the quality.

The further South you are the stronger the signal so should be easy to fix.
Here is what you do.
First check azimuth (direction dish is pointing. With someone watching the diagnostics
Press on the dish back centre to flex the dish to point slightly more easterly. Wait for the tuner to respond to the change. If the quality goes up. Slacken the azimuth and nudge the dish slightly more easterly. If it goes down you need to nudge the dish slightly more westerly. Repeat till you find a point where pressing right and left causes the quality to go down. lock down the adjuster.
Repeat the procedure top and bottom the get the correct elevation.
Lastly slacken the lnb clamp. move it forward and back to get the best quality (focus),
Then rotate the lnb slightly. Check a vertical and horizontal channel signal.
I will post a recording test for you.
All the channels will be Low Band Horizontal
enter 174 to tune BBC Scotland-HD. Press the record button
enter 112 to tune ITV+1 Press the record button.
All the following should be viewable - assuming you are choosing ITV regional channels your postcode has made visible

I will retrieve my ladder tomorrow and report back on here in a day or two.
This perhaps should be a new post but I am puzzled. After installing a new dish and (eventually) getting the alignment OK I was able to enter my postcode be and scan for channels. Curiously, despite being in Cornwall it gives me local (Southwest) ones but also various Scottish ones. Is this a faulty database from the satellite ?
