Following a post on DS.
Has anyone any idea as to the maximum number of individual recordings the hdr's file system allows ?. Additionally is any limit disc based or folder based ?

Don't know about the HDR's limit, but EXT3 has 'volume size in bytes/2^13' max files limit. So if you have a 320GB HDD, then the FOXSAT will have a limit of (282*1024^3/2^13) 36,962,304 files.
The only limit the HDR might have is the lack of memory to load in the recordings (making the list). It feels to me like it takes longer the more recordings you have in a folder, not that it is nippy loading the media list...
