Just bought a you view box. . It is not in a tv cabinet but on top of a chest of drawers in my bedroom. What idiot thought it a good idea to have the description of what you are watching (in recordings)constantly scrolling!!! Is there any way to stop this. It is really distracting and irritating.
    Thanks in advance

Simple, cover the display bit of the front panel

Not everyone has the box under the display, this idiot has his box 10m from the TV , behind where I watch the box from. Not a Youview box by the way.

    Welcome to the forum.

Press the Play button to see the playbar on screen which will show you how far through the programme you are.

(my box is on some glass bookshelves to the side of the TV but even the PVRs and other AV kit under the TV is blocked by the large bright laptop screen on my knee)

That was the first thing I noticed too. It looks really sophisticated with black gaffer tape stick on the front of a high tech item.
    Well done the design team.
Can it ever be fixed by a software/firmware update ?
