    Hello,

I have removed the hard drive in the FVP 5000T box and replaced it with a new one,
I am using a third party USB hard drive reader to read the hard drive in windows 11, windows 11 can find the hard drive but cannot open the hard drive so I can copy all the recordings that are saved on the hard drive.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

Perhaps the free version of Linux Reader from DiskInternals might do the job; see https://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/

    Hi,
Why did you remove the drive?
It could be that the drive was faulty and nothing will be able to read it.

The fact that you had issues with the drive suggests that it may be faulty and unreadable.

Can you explain what you mean by "open the files"? I would not expect to need to open the files to copy them elsewhere. Can you see the names of the individual files?

Stumbled across this post. Might be worth a try.

If the original hdd is removed (and a new one fitted) and installed into a hdd caddy that is then plugged into one of the USB ports on the original device, are ALL the files still playable. I would have thought that they should be as any encryption/decryption is from the same machine.

Are you able to see the list of files with the file names?
If so, try and copy one of the files over to your local drive.
