New firmware - newbie question 1

Hi from a new member.

When Humax release new firmware, is/should this be downloaded via the satellite link and installed automatically, or do I need to do it manually?

New firmwares are usually available to download to and install from a USB memory stick before they are broadcast as an OTA update. So if you are suffering a particular problem which the firmware fixes then go for the USB method, otherwise you may as well wait for the OTA update which happens automatically as part of its overnight housekeeping.
