Hi, I have had the 2000t for about a month but have a few issues niggles which I hope someone can help with please. We're not very technical I'm afraid.

Okay, we seem to have a weaker signal through the box than through our TV?
Is there anyway to keep watching the TV tuner whilst the box is recording? Sometimes we are recording 2 and the choice of channels which are watchable through the box are limited. When we have a poor signal I have to swap aerial between TV and PVR.
The YouTube app is dire, nothing plays. Wrong format apparently? Is this because of the box or my internet connection?

    Hope someone can help.
    Many thanks.

Use a aerial splitter, a passive one may well work if not a cheap plug in amplified one should resolve the issue (one feed to TV other TO TV).

Wrong format must be a youtube/Humax portal issue I would imagine.

Thank you, the aerial already comes through an amplifier so would this need to be changed? Or do we add another?
    Thanks

Try using a passive splitter instead of the amplified one.

What is the signal strength and quality reported by the Humax (Press Menu then Settins>System>Signal detection ?

    Sorry, missed this. ITV - 45 / 80 (HD 43/100)
    BBC 50/100 (HD 43/100)
During bad weather the box breaks up and we have to resort to the tv tuner.

My recommended transmitter is Brierley Hill, all results green just one blank altogether where it says L-BRM. No results at all there.

With green results chances are you could do away with the amplifier completely and just use a passive splitter for the pvr and TV assuming your aerial is up to scratch. I still think you should just try the el cheapo option (a passive splitter). Low indicated signal strength can be a result of over amplifying the available signal. If the amplifier is in a position where you can replace it by simply disconnecting it and adding a splitter at the pvr location that may well be the best option. Without knowing where the amp is in relation to the other kit, its hard to be specific.

Putting it simply, a straight feed from the aerial to the box location with a splitter to feed the TV and the pvr should work OK.
