    Hi

I have just purchased the 4000T and have a number of similar problems to others on this forum. The unit regularily locks up and sometimes does not record programmes even tho I have selected whole series. Eg estenders will record some but not all episodes

is there a couple of simple steps that I need to follow to ensure the unit is setup correctly. I have checked the software update and have the most uptodate version but other than that I have not changed the default settings

If not I am strongly considering returning the unit as it is too much hassle

    Welcome to our Forum

On my test unit I have EE set as a series timer (BBC1 HD) and it has never failed to record.

Are you sure you are only tuned to one transmitter?

Do you know which transmitter you receive signals from?

The channels go up to 879 with the later channels being the Welsh he ones

I believe the transmitter is wales as BBC wales has a strong signal

However I'm closer to the mast near the m32 in Bristol

Channels in the 800's is an indication that you are tuned to more then one transmitter.

You are maybe tuned to a mixture of Mendip and Wenvoe I suspect.

Bit long winded this but stick with us and I am sure we can help.....

Tune to each of the following channels in turn and when tuned in go to Home, Settings, Channel Setting, Signal test and post the CH number for each viewed channel:

    1
    3
    11
    16
    19
    71
    101
    111
