Hi all Have been a Humax user for some time "Freesat" but now have the Freeview box as well replacing a Toppy, surprised at the difference between the two Humax boxes and how each one operates, hoping to WiFi the new box at some stage.

    WiFi
Have tried to connect with Wireless USB Adapter Netgear WG111T
    with no luck.
A friend has same Humax HDR FOX T2 and is using a:
Edimax EW-7711UTN dongle (from play.com but no longer available)
and he said it works OK.
On the forum I have found references to:
    Edimax
    EW-7711UAN
    EW-7711USN
Looks like these have an external antenna.
I also found one that looks like the Humax one but cant find it now.
Is there a recommended type apart form the Humax branded dongle?
what is best one with or without external antenna?
    Sorry for all the questions

The Edimax is the safest bet. Buying something that "looks like" the Humax dongle is not a wise course of action.

what is best one with or without external antenna?

The further the Humax is from the router and if there are walls involved then an aerial will be helpful.
