Hi folks. I have just acquired a Humax DTR-T1000 You View box and there doesn't appear to have BT player installed. Everything leas works fine. I have done a factory reset but when I go to "players" the BT player isn't listed? Any ideas please? Ps we have BT TV activated and are connected to broadband etc.

    Many thanks in anticipation.

What about the Youview box BT sent you when you subscribed to BT TV?

Er... That's probably where the problem lies! Didn't realise you needed another box! I presumed the Humax just worked as a stand alone unit. So we need a BT box supplied by BT?

I bought the box myself, so when we subscribe to BT are we entitled to one off BT?

You are if you subscribe to BT TV. But I am beginning to suspect that you have not actually done so. Did you go through the following sign up page:-

Yes. We phoned them and paid a set up fee and were told it would be activated within two days. We have BT infinity so the basic package is free. I was expecting to be able to just find the BT player on the box I had bought but it doesn't appear. Do BT have to enable something for it to work or do I have to get a BT enabled box off them? Thanks.

All I can suggest then is to contact BT and ask them where your Youview box is.
