Do hope somebody can help here.
In the middle of recording something - the red recording light is on.
I try to access Menu thro remote and nothing happens. I think it's remote battery failure so change and still nothing.
I open flap on Humax and press the meunu button - still nothing. None of the buttons do anything.
It was working well a short while ago but seems suddenly to have gone wrong.
Any advice please. I'm 72 and non-techie I'm afraid.

Panic over folks - I pulled out all the plugs, left them a minute and then plugged in again and now all is well!
I did peruse some other posts though and wondered about this updating with special software. How do I do that please - is it on the menu somewhere? Thanks

Thanks Martin - I posted my reply at the same time as yours!
You were right - turning off the mains did fix it.
Have you any view about my other question about updating software?
The set works fine usually so is there any need?| Wed 4 Dec 2013 21:16:32 #4 | -

The recording just keeps going until you realise something is wrong and, as Martin says, switching off the mains for a short time is the only way to recover. I don't worry too much about it.
