I am new to this Forum, and no doubt this problem has been dealt with on a previous occasion. If so, apologies, but I would appreciate guidance. For the past week, I have a situation where 2 out of 3 recordings fail. They appear in the schedule, and indicate that recording is taking place, but is not effected. Occasionally the screen shows the bad signal indicator. Is this a dish problem, or possibly atmospheric?

Dish, Cable or LNB. More details may narrow it down such as channels that fail and succeed. (any pattern?)

Many thanks. All channels have failed and succeeded, but the only ones showing the 'No or bad signal' notification on screen today are BBC1 HD and BBC HD. ITV HD worked this afternoon, but failed a couple of days ago.
I am one of the 'older' brigade, and not excessively knowledgeable on the technical side. Is LNB the arm in front of the dish? Other than recording, a good picture is there through all channels, except as above.| Thu 15 Nov 2012 17:06:18 #3 |
