I have posted about this in another forum so apologies to those who are members of both.

I have a Foxsat HDR connected via HDMI to a Samsung PS51E550 and am puzzled by the difference in pq between the TV's Freeview and the Foxsat's output.

On sd broadcasts particularly Freeview is noticeably better whether the programme is recorded or live.

I've tried all of the different output settings and they don't help, I've also tried disconnecting the aerial from the TV.

I also have an LG 47LM620T and it's Freeview is better than the FoxSat too.

    Any ideas anyone?

Which channels. The picture quality is not always the same on satellite as Freeview. CH5 and derivatives is particulary poor on satellite (too many channels on one transponder).

Which is curious as I find the cricket highlights on CH5 looks much better on Freesat than it does on Freeview.
