    Hi,
have just managed to modify the firmware on my HD-Fox T2 to make it behave like a HDR-FoxT2 as per http://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Decrypt_recordings_on_the_HD-FOX-T2.
I copied the recording to the Virtual drive on the Hummy after removing the "enc" flag and then FTP'd the file to PC. I then attempted to watch on PC, result was picture was fine but no sound?
I first used vlc media player and then nero showtime on the pc. Any ideas please. I also played back the recording from the virtual drive on the hummy and that was fine.
    cheers, Ian

Probably related to the aac audio. Try Splash-Lite

Thanks Graham using splashlite appears to solve the problem.

Is the aac audio something specific to HD recordings or something used by Humax?

It's the surround sound format that is used by Freeview-HD and replaces the Dolby Digital system used on Satellite. The box is capable of downmixing AAC audio to Dolby Digital for use with AV kit having DD decoding, but of course the audio track is recorded as transmitted in it's native AAC format.
