    Hi all,

I was playing with my new HDR-Fox T2 last night and noticed that it will happily play *.vob files from a DVD folder structure stored on my NAS.

Unfortunately there seems no way of accessing the content via the DVD navigation or accessing subtitles, alternative audio etc...

Is anyone aware of a custom firmware application that can build on this native support?

    Cheers,

    Yorkshireboy.

This page tell you what video format I found that the HD/HDR plays back: http://myhumax.org/wiki/index.php/Media_Playback

I believe there is a wiki on the custom firmware somewhere (but not here). But I don't think the firmware does what you are looking for...

Most people use a DVD player, PC (if they want the menus) or rip the VOBs to AVI (which loses the menus).

Use TSmuxergui to join the vobs into one .mts file.

Use the version of AV2HDR for the HDR FOX T2 to create a .ts, .nts and .hmt.

Import to the hdd. Leave overnight, you should get chapter thumbnails just like any other recordings.
