Got our new Humax HDR Fox T2 last week and we are very pleased with it. Connected a 1tb LaCie drive to it and can copy files to it. Can also attach it to the PC and copy video files for viewing on the Humax.

ButI've noticed that when viewing an .mpg file you can not use the fast forward or skip forward buttons on the remote. Also only lets you start viewing from the beginning, not resume.

Tried the same with an .avi file and all is Ok. Why is this ? Do I have to convert all my mpg to avi ? If so, what's the best free (or cheap) prog ?

Some foreign media will allow you to use the left/right cursor to skip, but not all. Try this first.

You can use raydon's AV2HDR-T2 to convert to the HDR's native video format which will give you all the convenience of a regular recording.

You can download AV2HDR-T2 from this page: http://myhumax.org/blog/?page_id=166 (note you need the HDR-FOX T2 version not the FOXSAT-HDR.)
