I believe my dish may have moved slightly and I have lost the ability to see freesat on a Foxsat box. manually tuning non freesat is all ok. problem is I have 90% signal strength and quality on transponder 11427V but zero for both on 11427H or 11428H. sorry to ask a stupid question but is transponder 11427v on a different satellite from 11427H and if so where should I be looking please or is this an lnb fault.

Both transponders are on Eutelsat28A. The inability to distinguish between the Horizontal and Vertical polarisation transponders is in all probability a incorrect skew issue (The twist angle of the lnb in it's holder). 11427 H and 11428 H are the same transponder it's just down to rounding the actual frequency.

Could the lnb collar not be firmly clamped in it's collar and therefore twisted by recent bad weather. If the dish is accessible, bring up 11427(8) H in manual tune and make tiny adjustments leaving a bit of time between movements to allow the box to respond to optimise the quality, now check the vertical transponder. Skew is much easier to adjust than moving the dish azimuth and elevation.

THanks Graham that's really helpful. incidentally having just looked at all transponders I am getting 90 to 100% on all the V but no signal on any H. Will try adjusting skew as you suggest tomorrow. Many thanks again.

If you are missing all horizontal transponders, either the skew is way out of kilter or the lnb may have failed. If the lnb is loose when you get at it that should give a really good clue.
