Short version: Can someone please look at the power adaptor for their HDR2000T and tell me what make and model it is please.

Long version: I thought my old PDR9200T had died so I bought a newer HDR2000T, I did not like the way it could not amend the 4:3 TV settings even though the options are in the menu, they did nothing. So I had to organise an exchange with Humax. In the meantime I had listed my old 9200T for spares or repair on eBay as even though the clock had gone to --:-- ages ago it still worked until it started freezing after about 20 minutes of use. Someone emailed me off eBay saying there was a 'fix' for it, i thought they meant the --:-- issue as I know that can be fixed but I am no good with taking things apart, BUT there was another fix for the 'freezing' issue, so I followed that fix and now my 9200T is working fine again (bar the clock issue). So when Humax exchanged the HDR2000T I did not immediately plug it back in as my 9200T is fine. Anyway, at the weekend I thought I better try the HDR2000T to make sure it actually worked, even though I am unsure which unit to persevere with, BUT I could not find the power adaptor, when you exchange the unit they only take the unit so I knew the adaptor still had to be in the house, the Mrs ensures me she had not moved it, but she obviously had as I found it with my old collection of power adaptors. I now have a few adaptors and to make sure I do not blow up my new HDR2000T I need to know the exact make and model that comes with the unit so I can make sure I use the correct plug..... ha ha, told you it was the long version...

    Welcome to our Forum

I have 2 x 2000T with different power supply units:

    1. Wallwart - adaptor plugs straight into power outlet:

    Ktec P0413

    Edit: Output 12v 2.3A

    2. Brick - mains lead to power outlet:

    Ktec R2712

    Edit: Output 12V 4.0A

    Hope that helps...

Thank you, I have a KTEC one, I will check the exact code before plugging it in.

Sorry to sound silly, Barry, but what does "Brick" mean ??

It's a box with a separate detachable mains lead connector (usually a figure of 8 connector). In the other design the 13A plug is built into the psu.

Is this the right one or will it blow up my Humax?

What does it state for the output?

I've just edited my previous post with the outputs for the 2 PSU I have.

If the connector fits into unit then that should be OK.
