Hi, my daughters Humax HDR 1800T has started playing up, I can only get BBC2, can't get the remote to change channels, the remote will switch the TV on and off but nothing else, tried different batteries, not sure what to do, can anyone help please?

When you press a button on the remote which button lights up next to the power on/off button on the remote? If the "TV" button lights up (in the middle next to on/off) that would explain the problem. Make sure your remote is set to activate the 1800T by pressing the "PVR" button (on the left). You could also check to see if the Humax is working properly by using the few "buttons" on the left of the front panel. - and + should change the volume and ^ and v the channels. Try these ideas first and then report back.
