    My 1st post

Recently got approval from management to move from sky to free view and bought a FVP4000T which seems to be ok for us apart from the Program Guide
Is there any way to get a solid colour background instead of having a live program as the background?
Or alternatively changing the colour of the text to make it readable?

Not available on the 4000T Graham, maybe in a later update?

Thanks Barry - I hope that they do add this. It makes the epg a lot easier to read. I find the background video is pretty distracting.

You might want to try going to a off air or radio channel before displaying the guide. You can jump to a suitable channel by simply tapping in it's channel number.

267 is a good one to use - whilst viewing the channel 'The channel is scrambled or not available' is displayed, when you view guide it is just a dark background.

Hi guys. I’m new to free view and humax. Have FVP-4000t. That background annoyance for an old fart like me with. 31” TV is a pain. I am 2.5m from the screen, but have to get off my rear end to get up to the screen to see what’s on the guide. With a lit background, this is very, very hard to see. Apart from getting a larger screened TV, how do I increase the size of on screen print. Surely for people with visual disabilities, Humax can do some thing? Background set to off. Doesn’t appear on my menu. Am I thick? How do I do it. Do not come all techy or geeky please. A simple explanation would suffice,
    Regards

Try the suggestion in post 6 together with barry's suggestion in post 8.

Before looking at the epg tap 267 to switch to that channel and then press guide.
