My question concerns the difference between "chase play" in the context of pausing live tv as compared with a scheduled recording. In the case of pause live tv, if I fast forward through adverts and so catch up with the live broadcast, I simply get a message saying that it has caught up and I can then continue watching the live broadcast. However, if I do the same thing with a scheduled recording, when I catch up with the live broadcast, the screen simply reverts to the media list as if I had come to the end of a complete recording and does not continue with the live broadcast, although it does, of course, continue recording. Is there any way to persuade the machine to continue with the live broadcast when it has caught up in the case of a scheduled recording?

Avoid jumping out of the recording by using the forward skip key when close to real time. This is ignored if there is insufficient recording left (2 minutes with standard settings).
