Does anyone else think the pictures above each recorded program are pointless? They don't show a picture of the show, mainly the advertising just before the program starts or the BBC video they show before each program.

Having these pictures makes the list of programs terribly cluttered.

Also, having now got a few recordings I would like to be able to sort them alphabetically. And also there is no date to show when the recording was made, this is rubbish if you've got a few episodes of one program to watch.

I can't believe Humax have messed this up so much! I know things have to change but compared to the 9300 this unit is rather poor

The dates programmes are recorded along with dates of future timers are listed down the left hand side.

Hi Barry, Sorry, am I being blind, I can't see the date when a recording was made, I can click on schedule to see what's coming up but can't see the date a recording was made. Yes you can show it by day, ie monday, tuesday but not date.

When you highlight a 'folder' and press OK to open, on the left are the dates programmes were recorded (with play icon in circle) and future timers with the red clock symbol.

Not a good photo, but may help in addition to my comments above:

Top left channel number, then 2 dates with play icon, these are recordings on HDD, the highlighted date is the episode info displayed, the rest of the dates are future timers.

I hope that is clear enough for members.

AHHHHHHHh,thank you, that is actually rather good, so the icons I see on the main recordings page are one per show, you then go into that show to see the individual recordings.

This is unlike the 9300 where recordings were just shown in one long list.

    That's definitely an improvement!

    Thanks Barry.
This means that some of the posts I have been reading from FVP-400T owners (on DS I think) meant that they were just having newby difficulties.
What you have highlighted means that once you have located the series record group/folder you can

      easily select an individual episode for playback;
easily see the synopsis for each episode.

If you move the focus to a future timer is the synopsis displayed?

If the first programme for the series timer has yet to be recorded is it still possible to get to a list of future recordings for the series?

    Yes indeed.

If the first programme for the series timer has yet to be recorded is it still possible to get to a list of future recordings for the series?

Yes, via the Schedule option in the Recordings menu

With apologises for awful snaps, but you get the idea I hope.
