Sorry if this is old hat, bear with me I'm a noob!
I live in France and have one dish to receive freesat.
To record one channel and watch a different program at the same time,I am told I should have two cables going in the back.
Does this mean I need another dish, or is the one cable split in some way.
We were recording a show last night and I wanted to watch the match but is kept saying "Bad or poor signal"
Any help gratefully accepted.

On the back of the Foxsat there are 3 connections. To use both tuners on a single cable you need a short length of coax with as f connector on each end. You simply connect the middle connection tuner 1 out to tuner 2 in.
You won't get the capability to record any two channels at the same time but it will make a big difference as to what you can record and also what 3rd channels are viewable by recording two.

If I may add, its fairly cheap and easy to fit a twin LNB onto the dish and run a new shotgun (twin) cable then you can use its full function.
