I have not yet worked out how to set my Freesat HDR to record say the BBC Formula 1 Forum, which is accessed via the red button.

When I had Freeview this was Channel 301. I can't seem to find the Freesat equivalent.

    Can anyone help, please?

You need to install Raydon's modified firmware then use the Channel Editor that comes bundled with it to mark the Red Button streams as pretend Freesat channels which can be recorded (manually or using a timer).

Yes. You can set manual recording timers for both the streams and for non-freesat channels added to freesat mode. eg Sky News.

You can set a manual timer using the WebIf schedule.
(you can't set a auto schedule without EPG info)
    p.s.
    G.T. types faster than me.

Which bit, is it that you don't know how start ?. It's hard to explain simply because there is no way of knowing how much you know. In this case have you a basic knowledge of using a PC ?.

Can you connect a usb device to a PC, can you format it. Having done this can you copy a file to it. Can you then rename the file?

    Next question is clearly yes

Can you log into a website using a web browswer, If you can't you won't be here.
