We have a Humax HDR 7500T which has stopped responding to the remote. It is 3 months old and have had continual problems with disappearing EPG and failed recordings. In researching those problems we recently updated the software to v1.07. We had been using iceTV but went back to Humax EPG to rule out where the problems were coming from. That didn't seem to make any difference to the disappearing EPG but now we can't get into the menu or settings to do anything since the remote stopped responding . The volume and channel buttons on the machine work ok. We've checked the batteries and restarted the machine but no difference. (I checked the other post on a similar problem but not sure what the fix was, can't get into system settings to find what sysid is, but system had been updating ok, was no problem les updating to 1.07)

    Welcome to the Forum

This site is primarily aimed at UK users however a few things to check.

    1. That the PVR is selected on the remote before pressing any other key.

    2. You can check the remote is actually sending a command by viewing the IR window on it via a digital camera.

    3. In the UK we can change the code the remote uses to 1 of 6 see this FAQ try changing the code.

Thanks Barry! it was the PVR button after all of that!! Never had to press that before but obviously we did something to switch it off. that's probably going to fix our disappearing EPG and failed recording problems so will still keep an eye on your site for any fixes that might work over here too!
