    No 4.0.8 is latest. No risks, afaik no one has bricked there box. It sits on top of of the Humaax software so adds capabilities. Apart from the message you see on the box display at boot the box works the same as it always did. The extra capability you only see on a networked computer.

    No risks really. afaik not a single user has bricked his box. The software adds to the box capability without altering the way the Humax software works. Apart from the message you get at boot and the fact that you can see channels you wouldn't normally see.

    It alters some of the data files that the box uses like the channel list , the reservation file etc. The box undoes some of these during housekeeping. The box puts them back at first boot.

    It's very easy to remove it completely assuming of course the box still works.
