I have a 1010T. Can you manually search for a program? If so, how? Do you have to be connected to the internet as I can't do this as the machine is too far away from my router.
    Thanks

    A DTR-T1010?

You do have to be connected to use the search. Have you considered using Powerline Adapters to make the connection between router and box?

Funnily enough, I am looking at Amazon as we speak. They sell this -
    TP-Link TL-PA211KIT AV200 Nano 200Mbps Powerline Adapter - Twin Pack
Sorry, not technically minded but is 200mbps (?) ok? There are dearer adapters that are 300mbps or above.
    Thanks

They should be fine. The only thing is, some come with a passthrough so you don't lose a power outlet. If you're short of outlets, it's worth it. I'm sure TP-link do a passthrough model. I'll have a look and see if I can find them.

Thank you so much. Luckily, we are ok with outlets. Where the internet is there are 8 sockets! (I guess the previous owners used the upstairs hallway as an office!) and my TV and Box are plugged into a 4gang so the normal ones should be ok.

I really appreciate your help. Thank you x
