    Just bought the box, awesome!

All settings enabled ok, over a dozen dlna clients on ipad tested ok. I just bought buzzplayer and it too is the same. See both hd and sd recordings perfectly.

However, I then set up series recordings. This results in empty folders in the multiple ipad Dlna clients.

Searching the multiple forums suggests this is quite common, not restricted to this device or manufacturer. Yet I don't see a solution anywhere.

So I figure I have missed something obvious. Any ideas or is this insoluble?

Are these HD or SD recordings? Are you using the standard Humax firmware or the custom firmware?

Hi Martin, thank you for your swift reply.

These are hd series recordings. I tested a sd series recording and, seen from the folder in the Dlna client, there are files and they play. Suggests an hd only challenge.

The firmware is unaltered, I took the device out of the packaging earlier this week.

    Hope that helps, mark.

The HD recordings will require a client that supports DTCP (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Transmission_Content_Protection) and they are not common. Probably the easiest solution is to install the custom firmware.
