    Hi folks,

I have just got a Humax hd freeveiw box today and having a bit of trouble deciding how to hook the lot up so that everything is working.

1 Philips crt tv has 2 scarts (both occupied by direct scart from sky box and a cctv camera,

2 Rca in (yellow red and white at side of tv)

The rca on side of tv is occupied by rca cable from Humax box.

So all the inputs on tv are now full up

S far so good everything is working except the panasonic dvd recorder, It has 2 scarts, rca both in and out.

How do I get it to work too, do I hook it up to the humax by scart, play a dvd on dvd recorder and then the get the Humax to rescan and find it, (if that is possible) then just set a channel for it on the humax box?

Would mean switching on the humax everythime I wanted to watch a dvd, but just wondering would the above proceedure work?

Thanks very much for any help

    Joe

Daisy chain SCART lead connections from the Freeview box through the Sky box then through the DVDR to the TV.

    Thanks for reply.

So what you are saying is,
1 Rn a scart from Humax to the sky box,
2 Run scart from sky box to DVD recorder.
3 Run scart from DVD recorder to TV.

That way everything will work ok.
    Thanks again

I expect it to work though you may have a conflict if you want to watch something off the Sky box while copying something from the Humax box to the DVDR. Simple solution is to do the copying at another time.
