I have a Humax DTR1010 Youview box. About a month ago it stopped connecting to the internet. I put up with this but then it occasionally turned itself off when a recording was selected. I decided to do a maintenance mode reset without losing the recordings. This went fine but when it gets to the setup page it can’t connect to the internet so it just goes back to the setup page. I don’t know why it won’t connect but all I want now is to be able to use the box to record and play programmes. Is there any way I can skip the connection to the internet to set it up?

Welcome to our Forum
If you have the new software then you are stuck I'm afraid, without an internet connection you cannot complete set up.

Thanks for the response. I thought that might be the case. It's annoying because it worked fine otherwise. I have read elsewhere that the issue might be the ethernet port on the box but not sure how to confirm this. I could try a full factory reset but don't believe this will resolve the internet connection so looks like it i will just have to bin it!

Are the Led's on the internet port on rear of unit active?
Maybe worth giving Humax Support a call see if they can help diagnose...

It might be worth trying a router reset.
