You are welcome let us know if you implement

Incidentally I sometimes suffer from the same problem. I use a Nexus 7 tablet and normally use iplayer or the other catch up channels (Grand Designs from All 4 is good to send you to sleep :D. ) I now have a live TV server (with usb recording) £24.99 from Maplin.

I usually wake around 6 am and snooze to BBC 1 breakfast, somewhat annoying is iplayer live stream gets you local news from London. I now have all the SD channels and get my Midlands local news).

At 70 I am amazed at what you can now achieve using mobile devices.

Wow - that looks like an excellent bit of kit... presumably freeview based?

Yes just needs a aerial connection and a connection to your router. Ideally a cat5 cable to your router. Mine is in my study next to my router. Recording is primitive compared to a proper pvr (lacking series recording), but does have an epg and one off recording from it. It also has a peer to peer WiFi capability meaning you can take it anywhere with it's recording drive and watch without any network access or aerial connection.
