Hi. My HDR has no problems recording TV programmes. However, on playback, only the picture is played - there is no sound. Both the PVR and TV volume controls are at maximum. Can anyone help please?

Which version of the software is the HDR-2000T using?

    You can find out via
MENU > Settings > System > System Information > Software Version

The last version corrected a sound issue that many were experiencing. That version is UKTFAC 1.01.20. If you are not on that version then it'll be worthwhile updating the software before looking for other causes.

If that doesn't fix it then you'll need to provide more detail of your issue, but the software has fixed so many people's lack of sound on the HDR-20000T that you should try updating first.

Updates no longer are transmitted via your aerial which the "update" in the menu used to rely on.

The easiest way of updating is to connect the HDR-2000T to the internet via your router and leave it for a while, and once it decides to offer you an update select "Yes". If it has already done that but someone selected "No" then it doesn't offer again!

The only other update method is to go to Humax's support site and download the software and instructions for the HDR-2000T using a PC, and then follow the instructions to update your HDR-2000T.

When I lose sound, I either use fast forward, if plying a recording, or I unplug the machine for 10 seconds.
