Is there a setting to stop the recording of repeats when using series link please?

    Welcome to our Forum

Some broadcasters still mess up the crid data.

If you can post an example of a programme that is causing issues then we can check/advise further.

The crid data looks to be ok.

Do you have more then one series link set for the programme?

I have just set Mondays episodes as a series link, and it has ignored the repeats the following Saturday, which is correct.

I get the same as Barry. But there is something odd. Look at Monday 19th January 20:00. The episode at 20:00 and 20:30 are part of the same series. The episodes at 21:00 and 21:30 are a different series (Storage Wars and Storage Wars: Texas are different series).

I only have one series link set, and it has been happening long before the Texas episodes started.

It's been happening ever since the broadcasters mess up the EPG information, just as Barry alluded to in post #2. i.e. it's always happened.

tends to happen more on the smaller channels, ie.. itv4 c5, c5usa etc.

Until the all the Broadcasters provide accurate EPG info it will continue to happen.

Software could be written to 2nd guess whether itv4 or others have tagged their programmes correctly or incorrectly however; when you start to 2nd guess and fix possible unknowns it quickly becomes a nightmare to manage, better for itv4 and others to provide the correct information in the first place.

It's also far better to be able to delete a duplicate, really dead easy, rather than not have anything recorded at all.

    Apologies forgot to update thread.

Storage Wars timer - 20:00 and 20:30 both episodes recorded on Monday as planned, next scheduled timers are for next Monday, so all appears to be in order.

OK, thanks for your time on this, deleting double recordings is not too much trouble, just annoying.
