    Hi
Can anyone help, my friends machine seems to be stuck in deleting programe mode. The Hard Disk is showing 40% full and the deleting symbol is constantly revolving. Apparently he has tried unpluging the machine but it always returns to deleting programmes.

The 'constant Deleting' problem can be fixed from the Maintenance Mode if Custom Firmware is installed, however if the CFW is not installed there is also the 'fix 2' HERE

I am not convinced that fix will work without formatting the disk whilst running 1.01.09.

Thank you for the info. I have downloaded 1.01.09 on one usb stick and the latest version on another. I'm seeing him Saturday so i will try the suggested fix then, I'll let you know what happens.

    Hi
My mate is very happy. I carried out the suggested fix last night and now all working ok, save that he lost a number of recordings in the process. Many thanks for the forums help in this matter.

So what exactly did you do? Note that the custom firmware would have fixed the problem without any loss of recorded programs.

I installed 1.01.09, formatted hard drive as advised, then installed latest version of software. He was not too fussed about loss of recorded programmes he wanted it all working properly to record several programmes over xmas (which he could not do).
