Hello all
my fvp5000t is sometimes getting stuck in standby mode when its left for a while (usually overnight) the only way to get it to come on is to unplug the power and reconnect.
Any others have this problem?

Not experienced this. Try a daily power on timer on say BBC 1 -HD at 07:00 with your volume setting and a power off at 07:15.

Any others have this problem?I've noticed this too. But the light will go blue with no video/sound output to tv. Press various remote buttons and nothing happens.

Add the timer as above. If the box doesn't appear to respond to first press of power button, wait 10 seconds before pressing power again.
Post if this fixes (or otherwise).

Whilst Graham has posted one suggestion...evidence would appear to indicate a CEC handshake problem....
You could try checking this option on your TV, and/or switch off CEC on same see if that helps.

I'll give it a go and report back. It's very random so might take a few days!

OK I tried the daily power on setting timer and it's still random. Even when the unit is showing blue. I can switch on the TV using the TV remote and switch to to HDMI1 (Humax) and even though box is blue none of the humax remote buttons give any indication the unit is responding. If I power off the unit with Humax remote the unit goes red. Power back on and all works as normal.
Most of the time when I switch to HDMI and Humax is blue, the Freeview TV channels are on as normal.
It's not a major issue for me as I can just power off when it happens.

Did you try Barry's suggestion and turn off HDMI-CEC on your TV?

I also tried the daily power on, and also disabled everything I could find in the menus (rf pass through, remote recording and tv power control) I was not happy with how warm the unit gets from the hard drive being constantly on when remote recording is enabled. So far after a couple of days I have had no problems but I will post when a week or so has passed.

My FVP 4000T does this at random times, I have tried so many things, I now just reboot it, but of course I lose the programs in does not turn on for!
