Are subtitles available all the time, at the press of a button as they are on the HDR-FOX 2? Assuming of course that the Channel is broadcasting them.

I'll assume FVP 5000T as OP has raised other questions on same.

Whilst I do not need subtitles, whenever I have tested them they appear to be fine using the sub button on remote - 2 presses, once to display option second to enable, or of course you can enable via settings. general settings menu.

I use subtitles a lot on certain programmes as today's actors don't project their voices as in 'olden times' and are often mumbled. This has been remarked upon with respect to certain TV dramas both past and present.

Like Barry - I don't normally use subtitles but tested them on the 5000T and they worked as expected.
