I have been using a Manhatten HD freesat box until recently and I was always able to watch a French station called TV5monde with many of their programs having subtitles in both English and in French
I have since changed my Manhatten for a Humax Foxsat HDR/320
I've managed through trial and error to get Non freesat channels just like I got on the Manhatten but with one difference
I can't get subtitles for TV5Monde like I did before
It says that there are no subtitles available
I know that this is untrue because I could get them before and TV5's website says which programs have subtitles and which haven't
Subtitles do work for freesat channels
Is there some kind of work around where I can enable these subtitles?
I'd appreciate any help

Record the channel and export the recording to a usb stick. Download MediaInfo and open the recording file. Select tree file and export the file details to a text file. Post the results here. I suspect the channel is using a subtitle format that is incompatible.

ThanksOpen the front flap and connect a FAT32 formatted usb stick.
Press media opt + and OK on file manager
You should see your usb stick pane on the right hand side (SDA1)
press right to highlight and OK to open drive
Go left and locate your recording and highlight it - press green to copy to usb.
