My HDR Fox T2 (.27 firmware) had been working fine, I put it in Standby, came back 30 mins later, pressed ON and it came on at the first page you see upon initial installation (Language etc..). It then went through the channel scan etc.. and we were up and running. It had lost all other settings (like WiFi and recording schedule but still had the saved recordings on disc).
It then kept pestering me that I needed to Retune, so I said OK, do it, and it said it could not find any channels at all. It then seemed to enter a sulk that it wasn't going to find any channels whatever I did! So, I put it in standby and then switched it off at the back, waited, switched it on and then did a retune and it seemed OK and I proceeded to reset the WiFi etc...
Now - is this a well known precursor to impending failure or what ??
