I have successfully programmed my YouView remote to control my Samsung TV.
It works fine for volume, etc, but if I try to switch the TV off, only the YouView switches off - not the actual TV.
YouView is on HDMI3. When I switch off, I just get 'No signal' rather than TV switching off. I have to use the Samsung remote to turn the TV off, which seems a bit silly.

Can I fully program my YouView remote so that I don't need another one at all?

If multiple codes were listed for the TV try one of the others.

Are you pressing the TV button on the YouView remote before trying to switch TV off?

The code I used works perfectly well except for actually switching the set off. Would a different code make any difference, please?

There is nothing labelled TV on the remote. I have tried pressing the on/off button at the top. I have even tried pressing AD button with the Off switch.

I must be doing something wrong!

Think I've managed it with a new code!
    Thanks for your replies.
