transferring recorded stuff

    I have recorded a load of stuff and would like to transfer it to either stick or hard drive. I connect a stick or hard drive ( 500GB ) and try and transfer. Some stuff it lets me shift but films and anything over 30mins SD it says files more than 4GB cannot be transferred???? Is this the norm? How can I transfer stuff off the hard disc onto another?

    It's a limitation of the FAT32 FS used on the usb drive. A EXT3 drive is needed to get over the 4GB limit.

    You may also be interested to know that there is a modified firmware available for the Foxsat HDR, which enables you to connect it to a home network. From there you can copy files to other computers without going via USB sticks or other harddrives (much faster).
