    Hi
I wonder if you can help this new boy with a couple of queries please?
I have just purchased a Humax HDR-FOX T2 and want to connect to the internet via a dongle. Do I really require an expensive Humax dongle to do the job or will a cheaper version (£12-£15) do the necessary?
Secondly, how should I connect my VCR player? Do I connect it directly to the TV or via the Humax PVR?
    Thanks very much
    Regards
    John

A cheaper dongle is perfectly adequate but please note that you must buy one that uses the same chipset as the Humax dongle i.e. you can't buy any dongle that takes your fancy. One model that is reported to work well is the Edimax EW-7711UAn eg Link to Amazon

Directly to the TV. The HDR does not have a VCR in SCART socket.

Link to thread where someone purchased and uses the dongle Martin refers to successfully.
