When I try to play any video from my Samsung Smart TV, using either the Twonky or MediaTomb server, I get file not supported error on the TV.
Is this something to do with Transcoding? Should I be able to watch streamed recordings on my TV? I can watch them on a PC using the VLC player.
    Any advice appreciated

I should have clarified that I'm using my HUMAX to stream to my Samsung Smart TV, if that wasnt obvious from my first post... sorry!

Provided it's not HD (encrypted), try copying the content from the HDR onto a USB device and then plugging the device into the Samsung and playing from there.

The problem lies with extraneous entries in the PAT and PMT tables of the video transport stream (.ts) recorded by the HDR. Look here for details of the problem.
