I intend to buy a 4K TV with Freesat,. Can I keep using my current PVR-9300T, or will Ineed to upgrade the PVR? I will not be using the smart facility on the set, but wish to continue recording programmes using the PVR. I presume if I can keep using the 9300T, then it will not record in HD? Can anyone advise please. Thankyou

Yes you can continue using the 9300T. It's recording capability has nothing to do with the TV. As it's a SD pvr it will continue to be SD. If I remember correctly the 9300 has upscaling to 720P via a hdmi socket, which should work with your TV. However a 4K TV will really show up the limitations of SD, you might like to consider upgrading to a HD capable pvr.

I just bought a new Samsung 4K UHD TV and I have to say that when fed a HD picture, either from the TV tuner itself or my HDR1000S, then the results are spectacular. Even SD upscaled looks good but no comparison.
