I can't get myfox t2 to read files on a memory stick via the usb slot.
If i try: Memory, Settings, System data, Storage I get Internal HDD and cruzer edge (this being the memory stick i am using).

Clicking on HDD gives me access to recorded files but the Cruzer Edge won't open so i am unable to play films stored on the memory stick.

I also have a Fox T2 receiver which will read the same stick.

    can anyone help

    regards

The fact that an HD-FOX T2 will read it but an HDR-FOX T2 won't is very odd. Have you tried both USB ports on the HDR-FOX T2 (one at front under a flap, the other at the back)?

Thanks for your input but i've tried both sockets and neither will read the stick.

How was the stick formatted? Do you know if it is FAT32 or ext2 or ext3?

if you connect the stick to a PC, Right click on the USB stick root folder in windows file explore using the drive letter that appears and choose properties what does the answer say ?

It will be one of the above that Martin mentions.

I managed to fix the problem.
It was due to my own foolishness.
I wasn't pressing the blue button.

    Thanks for the help.

    regards

We all make silly mistakes at times. What you were describing was puzzling so thank you for providing the resolution.
