Hi welcome to our forum. Your approximate location, the transmitter you get your signals from would help. Is it all HD channels you have lost or just some of them, if not all the ones you are still receiving would help.

Some transmitters have additional HD channels that are transmitted at a much lower power than the main PSB HD channels (BBC1 HD. BBC2 HD ITV-HD etc)

In general it's possible current high pressure conditions may be causing the problem. High Pressure allows TV to travel further so it can cause problems with distant transmitters you can't normally receive blanking channels using the same frequency from your local transmitter. They should return when the weather conditions change. Ask you neighbours if they have similar problems. You may be in a location that is susceptible. A aerial change and it's location may help, but in the end consider a dish and a freesat box as these are immune from this problem.

This thread may be of interest.

There are other possible reasons (HDMI cable interfering for instance) see the above thread.

Nothing has changed in a while. Guess you are using Sutton Coldfield though it's possible you are using a different transmitter.

Using manual tune check what signal strength and quality you get on

DVB-T2 Channel 40 and DVB-T2 Channel 33 and post the results.

Also enter your postcode and house number here

Screen grab and post the results.

You should be able to get the main channels on CH 40, are they not watchable ? COM 7 (channel 33) is likely to be weather related, as you can see you have no reception. In fact COM 7 is only on a few transmitters anyway and those that do it's at much lower power. If you had them before they should come back when the weather conditions change.

45 Film4 +1, 101 BBC One HD (England no regional news), 102 BBC Two HD (England), 103 ITV HD (ITV Central West), 104 Channel 4 HD Midlands ads, 105 Channel 5 HD, 123 CBBC HD,

It's not a story, just you are misreading the information.

The post indicates some kit cannot get both MUX at the same time, your Humax is not the list.

There are temporary slots available in the UHF spectrum to use some low 30's UHF channels for some extra HD channels (31 32 and 33). Because of the limited number of frequencies only some of the main transmitters have COM 7 and to avoid interference they can only use low power. Under high pressure conditions because of the additional distances they travel they can interfere with each other, as you have found.

    http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/surface-pressure/#?tab=surfacePressureColour&fcTime=1480507200

You may have to wait till next week (look at the predicted conditions on the above link).

Incidentally guessing the problem is down to co-channel reception from Belmont in Lincolnshire which shares COM 7 on channel 33.

Your big mistake was to re-tune, had you not they would have come back when conditions improve. Once you have got them back, it will likely happen again so just be patient. The situation will change at the next big change (DSO2) when only kit with DVB-T2 will be able to get all the channels.

    EDIT

Just found this from the BBC.

I now have it working day in day out on the HD channels but have experienced it losing strength and quality on channel 31 and 54 DVBT2. Cheshire

I dont know if its technical issues, servicing work or atmospheric conditions but it only happens on the HD channels. It happened recently one morning with a loss of signal on all HD channels but when I switched on later it was fine again. I wonder if they are doing work on the transmission equipment

It works mostly fine though and these are very rare occurances
